Museum of African American HistoryMuseum of African American History Average User Rating: (0 votes, add your vote or comments) The New Museum of African American History is dedicated to the preservation and presentation of African and African American history and culture. Exhibitions include twenty-six interactive stations. The Museum is capped by an enormous glass dome. The rotunda under the dome displays flags of many African nations. With a series of exhibits, lectures, concerts, cultural celebrations, festivals and programs designed especially for children, the CHWMAAH (named for Charles H Wright) preserves the past and strengthens the future.The new Museum is located in the heart of Detroit's Cultural Center on East Warren at Brush Street.
