The Masonic Temple Theatre  is one of the largest and finest theatrical houses in the country and is on both the Michigan Historical Register and the National Register.  The Masonic Temple hosts a variety of entertainment including plays, musicals, variety shows, classical music and opera, rock-n-roll and dance. The theatre hosts major headliners in 125 to 175 performances each year.

In 2006 the Masonic Temple Theatre hosted the fabulously popular Wicked.  Over the years it has hosted Yul Brenner in The King and I, Lauren Bacall in Woman of the Year, BB King and Bette Midler. Evita began its first national tour at the Masonic, and Mikhail Baryshnikov danced here in his premiere with the American Ballet Theater and the Metropolitan Opera.
